Brigham City Utah Temple Plaque

This multi-layer "mandala style" temple plaque is an original design. The detailed art piece is created out of 9 layers of laser-cut, birch and mahogany woods with a total thickness just over 1".

The mandala background design is inspired by the peach tree motif shown throughout the Brigham City Temple. Each layer is slightly different than the one above.

The design elements in our designs reflect the unique architectural detail found in this specific temple, an effect that is relaxing and mesmerizing.

On June 15, 2010, the Planning Commission of Brigham City approved plans for the Brigham City Utah Temple in conjunction with a Permitted Use Permit application submitted by project manager Kerry Nielsen. Building and landscape designs were created to reflect both the history of Brigham City and the classical designs found at the Logan, Manti, and Salt Lake temples. The warm white temple, faced with precast concrete limestone, points east toward the historic Brigham City Tabernacle with the top of the angel Moroni reaching several feet above the highest point of the tabernacle. The west façade is detailed similarly to the east including a second spire. The temple has a 9,000-square-foot footprint with three above-ground levels. The grounds include a water feature and fruit trees, paying homage to the area's roots in fruit growing.³
