About W.K. Wilson

My wife and I have been designing and creating products for others for years. In the fall of 2014 we got the idea of creating a wooden tie for a good friend of ours who was turning 90 years, and has over 500 bow ties. The wooden bow tie we were able to come up with was a wonderful, one-of-a-kind addition to Max's vast bow tie collection. (More about Max. http://wk-wilson.com/blogs/news/81554691-who-is-w-k)

The idea of making wooden bow ties would not go away. We researched the idea and found out to our shock that we were not the first to have this idea, but we knew we had a design edge. A year later after much pondering and soul searching we decided to throw our hat in the ring and open W.K. Wilson to sell our ties.

At the moment we are working with 8 different wood types, 6 styles, and 2 dozen designs. Each design will only have a numbered, limited run of generally 50 ties. Because of these limits the designs will continue to evolve in style, in wood types, and in design effectiveness.

We have been supported, egged on, and encouraged by such a large group of creatives and business associates, and are so excited to have our ideas finally together and ready to open business.
